DSM HW Module Experiment #1: WiFi Range

It was an exciting day for the CHARISMA project as we have conducted the first field experiment of the components the team is planning to use on the DSM HW module. The devices were deployed and tested on actual drones that we flew in the Marki Lake area. From our experiment, we measured the distance at which drones may communicate, the interference that drone communication may cause on the module communication, and the speed of communication. The initial findings are promising and we look forward to improving our results even further in the second experiment. We thank our collaborators at AIZ Caliber for organizing the experiment and for their continuous support in the development of the HW module.
